Terms of Service for DueLog

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "your", or "User") and Convivator Private Limited ("Convivator", "we", "us", or "our") governing your use of the DueLog mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App" or "Service").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using DueLog, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The Service

DueLog is a digital ledger (IOU / Khata) application that lets individuals and businesses record money given and taken, track balances per contact, attach photos and voice notes to transactions, and optionally back up and synchronize data across devices. DueLog is offline-first: core features work on your device without an internet connection.

DueLog is a record-keeping and bookkeeping tool only. It is not a bank, payment processor, lender, money-transfer service, or financial, tax, accounting, or legal advisor. DueLog does not move, hold, or settle any money between you and your contacts.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, and capable of forming a binding contract, to use DueLog. If you use the App on behalf of a business or other entity, you represent that you are authorized to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. Your account

  • You may be required to sign in (for example, via Google Sign-In) to use certain features such as cloud backup and sync.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account and device, including any biometric or device locks you enable.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
  • Notify us promptly at convivatorprivatelimited@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Your content and data

  • You own your data. All ledger data you create—contacts, transactions, notes, and attachments—belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of it.
  • Your responsibility. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and reliability of the data you enter, and for keeping your own records. You should not rely on DueLog as your only record of important financial information.
  • License to operate the Service. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and transmit your data solely to provide the Service to you (for example, to enable cloud backup and sync). We do not use your ledger content for advertising.
  • Backups. While DueLog offers optional cloud backup, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups. We are not liable for any loss of data.
  • Contacts. If you import contacts from your device, you represent that you have any necessary rights or consents to do so and to record information about those individuals.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose, including money laundering, illegal lending, or recording transactions related to illegal activity.
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation, or the rights of any third party (including privacy and data-protection rights of contacts you record).
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, our systems, or third-party services we rely on.
  • Circumvent, disable, or tamper with subscription, advertising, security, or usage controls.
  • Use automated means to access the App in a manner that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App except as expressly permitted.

We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms.

6. Subscriptions, billing, and free tier

6.1 Free tier and ads

DueLog offers a free tier supported by advertising. By using the free tier, you acknowledge that ads (served via AdMob, Yandex, and mediation partners) will be displayed. See the Privacy Policy for details and ad-personalization choices.

6.2 Paid subscriptions

DueLog offers paid subscription tiers (e.g., Pro and Pro+) that unlock additional features and remove ads. Subscriptions are sold and processed through the applicable app store (e.g., Google Play Billing), managed via our billing provider RevenueCat.

6.3 Billing, renewal, and cancellation

  • Prices, features, and billing periods are displayed in the App at the point of purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your store account will be charged for renewal.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, through your app-store account settings (e.g., Google Play → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current period.

6.4 Refunds

All purchases are processed by the app store, and refunds are subject to the app store's policies. We do not separately process payments and generally cannot issue refunds directly; please use the app store's refund process.

6.5 Changes to pricing and plans

We may change subscription prices, features, or tiers. Where required, we will give you advance notice. Price changes do not apply retroactively to a billing period you have already paid for.

7. Third-party services

DueLog integrates third-party services including Google (Firebase Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, Cloud Messaging, AdMob), Yandex Mobile Ads, RevenueCat, and S3-compatible cloud storage. Your use of these features may be subject to the third parties' own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your dealings with them are at your own risk.

8. Intellectual property

The App, including its software, design, logos, trademarks, and content (excluding your data), is owned by Convivator Private Limited or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App for your own personal or internal business use. No other rights are granted.

9. Availability, updates, and changes

  • We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time, with or without notice.
  • We may release updates that you must install to keep using the App.
  • We do not warrant that the App will be available uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, THAT BALANCES OR CALCULATIONS WILL BE ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DATA WILL NOT BE LOST. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING ANY FINANCIAL FIGURES BEFORE RELYING ON THEM. DUELOG DOES NOT PROVIDE FINANCIAL, ACCOUNTING, TAX, OR LEGAL ADVICE.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CONVIVATOR PRIVATE LIMITED AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Convivator Private Limited and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, your data, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

13. Termination

  • You may stop using the App at any time and may delete your account and data as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • We may suspend or terminate your access to the App, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.
  • Upon termination, the licenses granted to you end. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.

14. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the courts located in Pakistan will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of DueLog after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
  • Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
